Kanella serves some of the best coffee in East Dulwich and the service from Alex and his team is unfailingly attentive and cheerful. The cafe brings the owners’ Greek heritage to the fore with great food , pistachio croissants are a must try, and olive oil and other treats to take away.
Tried it today, coffee was great and had a few things, spinach pie (the tray appeared as we were ordering just made), bougatsa (not too sweet, much better than loads I've had in Greece), a Cypriot pastry and frittata, everything was delicious and service was very smiley. Will be back.

Excellent coffee, nice environment & staff!
The coffee is so good, we’ve started buying the beans to make our own at home (haven’t quite perfected it to Kanella’s level though…). The cakes and pastries are really good, as are the lunch salads we’ve tried. Will be a regular stop for us - see you again soon!
Great coffee served by really nice staff. Lovely variety of pastries and savoury bits too. Nice and spacious with enough space for remote workers and mum's with buggies. Will definitely be popping in everytime I'm in that neck of the woods
A lovely coffee shop with absolutely delicious sandwiches and pastries. I really enjoyed their grilled tomato and cheese toastie. Also, their Bougatsa is definitely a recommended favorite!
Lovely place for a quiet coffee. I am registered disabled and looking for a place suitable for my disability. I left my disability lan yard in view for staff. I asked for toilets which are upstairs very steep stairs.
I know most places now have a loo suitable for us disable folk.
