Thrilled to discover a 'proper cafe' near to where I live in Kensal Rise. Family run for over 30 years with old-style traditional British 'grub'. Clean; proper Italian coffee machine. Great selection of food...nostalgic items like Knickerbocker Glory! Charming owner and staff and a business that well deserves local support and at such amazing prices!! Long may they survive!
The food I had was delicious: sausage not too salty, bacon was juicy, and the potatoes were tasty. What really puts this place over the top is the service and friendly faces. They really made me feel welcomed and more like family than a customer. This does not happen often, if at all nowadays. A hidden gem for sure!
Great place to have an English breakfast. Found this gem on maps here and wanted to try it out. It's the perfect place to start the day, the kind of restaurant visited by locals where prices are the right one, taste is great and the service top quality.
The portions were quite large and since we tried many types of breakfast options, we could try everything.
I would recommend it to anyone visiting that wants to try local stuff, not tourist traps.
We paid 48£ including tip for English breakfast for 5 people!
Bonus: located just beside the overground station which makes transport so easy.
