This place is delicious! It's very easy to walk past it though. Small family run business, price are around £13 for a curry when you add the rice.
I like sweet food, so they were able to make a red curry which had pineapple.
The lady which greeted me was very nice too and went to talk to the chef to see if she could alter my dish for me.
The tap water I ordered had ice which is a novelty! Trust me. So many other places are stingy with their ice! lol
I could do with a slightly bigger portion of rice, but what I had would be brilliant for most people.
Beautiful Thai cuisine in the heart of Dulwich. This understated, gem of a restaurant serves fabulous dishes that will impart a zing to your tastebuds.
We enjoyed a quiet midweek meal here, which was perfect in every detail. Subsequently, I've upgraded my rating from 4, to 5 stars.
original review:
Friendly staff, friendly atmosphere at times bordering on the rumbustious (we went on a Saturday evening).
The food was fabulous; I had the sea bass green curry, and I though it was especially delicious.
Years ago it used to be called Sema Thai; it's a bit smarter now, though; it's lovely that Lux Thai have retained the same genuine, home cooking feel that Sema Thai managed to embue - you really feel that you're eating authentic Thai cooking.
Amazing food, spiced perfectly. Portions are good even though hubby ordered extra coconut rice. The kids had prawn and chicken Panang curry and we asked for it to be super spicy and they really delivered. My only note would be to make the Pad Thai a bigger portion. They are going to be sick of me and my family and friends cos I’m bringing everyone.
