This small but well run restaurant serves decent curry dishes at a reasonable price. 6 of us descended on a Friday night after a few jars at the nearby Plough and all of us left satisfied.
I had the tandoori chicken on the bone to start which was juicy and succulent, then for main went for the lamb tali tikka massala which was very tasty. I've had some seriously dodgy tikka massalas in the past including one whose main ingredient was Heinz tomato soup but this was very good, full of flavour, nicely seasoned and with a bit of a kick which I guess is what the 'tali' indicates. This was accompanied by pilau rice and a paratha which was particularly good. Some of my companions opted for the jalfrezi and commented that it was particularly spicy, I presume because of the numerous green chillies it contained! Be careful if you don't like your curry too hot. Also of note was the lack of oil visible in any of the dishes which is not always the case with local Indian restaurants and made for a pleasant surprise.
This is a nice curry house serving good, flavourful curry which I would happily visit again.
I’ve tried many Indian restaurants around the world, and this is the best lamb madras I have ever had, with some of the best garlic naan anywhere to be found anywhere, and a perfect Pilau Rice. Beautiful and delicious food, with kind and conscientious service, in an impeccably clean premises. Thank you to the people who work there for a truly great experience.
We have been to Curry Leaf several times now and have enjoyed it each time. The food in particular is amazing, I would recommend both the Lamb Karahi and the Shatkora Gosth however each dish we have tried has been delicious.
It is also BYOB which makes the final bill quite cheap considering how good the food is.
