Whenever I am in this neighbouhood shopping, I stop around for some wine and a quick bite. This place serves some great wine, and with delicious sides to accompany. The variety is extensive and with the kind of prices it is available at, I plan on coming here again. It gives great value for money.
This is a charming little wine shop, where one can purchase and take home, or...'sample', let's say. To me, this is a little blast of France. Walls consist of rows and rows of vintage red, rose, whites and fizzies, and the staff know their stuff. The menu offers some different things than you would expect; I'm a fan of French white and Chilean reds, was pleasantly surprised to find interesting things such as Romanian reds and rose pinot noirs. Per glass, you're looking at around £6 mark, and bottles go anywhere between £30 to 'most of your rent'.The vibe is relaxed, cosy and great for catch ups or dates. The outdoor seats accommodate for those who fancy people watching whilst sipping their grape juice, and some barrels/tucked away tables inside the dimly lit shop provide a good dynamic for intimate convo. Or eating duck sliders, the foodie alternative for drinking wine for dinner. It has an authentic feel to it; a place that accommodates wine snobs as well as those who just fancy a slightly classier drink than the neighbouring All Bar One.Impress a date or enjoy the cosy ambience with friends, but do give one of their more interesting wine choices a go.
Lovely little wine bar which also serves wine by the glass. We went and were able to get a lovely little seat and watch the world pass by. Great selection of wines!
