Our not so local, local, our favourite London pub, awesome Magda and her staff and of course the lovely Debs. Great pints of doom bar and Pride, friendly and welcoming and of course the chaos that is the Sunday pub quiz. Cannot recommend more highly.
A very warm and friendly pub, with happy and energetic bar staff. This made my visit enjoyable and I’m eager to return! Would highly recommend.
Is there another pub with such different people happily coexisting, in fact relishing their disparities, over a glass or three? Where a chap who seems to be a retired Lieutenant Colonel will perch on a bar stool chatting to a dodgy french tree surgeon dressed in a tutu? Debbie loves her regulars, and her regulars love her. There's a lovely, calm vibe - except perhaps when Slapper or les K-Tines are playing in the tiny space at the back of the room on the right, with the whole pub sometimes joining in with some pretty weird songs. The first time I heard a drunken chorus of 'She's a fat bitch and she cannot sing' in the Uxbridge will stay with me all my life. It's a great pub because it attracts lovely people. So please don't bring any a***holes or d***heads with you if you go.
