One of my absolute favourite pizzas in London. Been there both for Lunch and Dinner, tried the different pizza toppings they come up with and each time its wow!
The Homeslice gimmick of paper plates and no cutlery is annoying, but worth putting up with because the pizzas are awesome. You should eat slices Napolitan style folded in half to form a sandwich. The crusts are thin and foldable.
The two of us had the massive 20 inch pizza with half of it dressed with anchovy, olive and caramelized onion. The other half was aubergine, spinach, cheese and harissa. I preferred the anchovy combination where the saltiness was beautifully offset by the sweetened onions. I liked the fact that the pizza was not overly cheesey.
This was better than most pizzas I ate in Naples, albeit more expensive. I would order the large pizzas here because they are freshly made. If you order slices, these have been sitting around on the counter and just get warmed up. They are happy to pack up leftovers to take home or donate to a homeless person.
We stopped here for a quick lunch. We were seated quickly and did not have to wait very long for our food. We ordered a half and half pizza because we couldn't agree on what to order, but it turned out to be a good decision. We shared both halves, so we were able to enjoy two completely different pizzas in one sitting.
Overall, the pizza was fresh and flavorful. It could just be the style of their dough, but the large pieces were a bit floppy when you picked them up. The pizza didn't taste soggy, though.
Lastly, the pizza options are a bit adventurous. This is not your typical pizza joint. I'd recommend reviewing the menu in advance before making a special trip to eat here. You may need some extra time confirming that you might like the options available.
