Amazing 😀😀😀
Never thought I'll get a cold Japanese Ashai Beer in a London pop-up Izakaya style bar serving U.K.'s largest range Japanese Craft Beer, Hirata Buns and jumbo chicken wings.
Ambience 3/5:
It's an informal Japanese gastropub where people like to go for after work n drink to relax with friends over a Japanese beer and some exotic food. Nice music and good vibes from the place.
Food 4/5
It's a great place to have some drinks with friends over some exotic snacks. It's more of a pub then fine dining.
THE BEST CHICKEN WINGS ❤️they were fantastic, huge, meaty and the sweet and spicy sauce was amazing.
The Hirata buns were wonderful- soft pillows on the outside with a gorgeous yummy filling on the inside. It's made from streamed buns stuffed with salad and delicious savoury fillings. These buns are the Japanese form of sandwiches or tacos and have become a part of healthy Japanese snacking.
Sweet potato fries are a big fad which were crispy n crunchy from the outside and soft on the inside.
The beer menu is very decent and clearly describes the style and flavor of the beer on offers with some specials and good ol Asahsi Black on tap.
This pub had it all, cool pinball n foosball#frozen drinks#Japanese beer#excellent exotic snacking#nice music# nice vibes#chalk board for leaving your comments# great team of servers#reasonably priced.
What more could you ask for, a must try place !!!
Great concept, amazing buns and wings(above all the sweet and spicy), excellent location and atmosphere.
On Mondays they do the happy Mondays, where with 7.50 pounds it's included 2 buns and a a pint of Japanese beer. All the games are also free in this day, you can play foosball and pinball machine.
Good experience after a hard day of work!
The beers are good, the buns are better, but it’s all about dem wingz!
As Ash may have let on, their wings are bloody lovely. They come in three types: sweet & spicy, soy garlic and Korean hot. Picking between these three is like picking between your children, but the firstborn here is clearly the hot wings. These bad boys are what really separate Beer & Buns from the rest. They’re face stuffingly amazing! I’ve been a few times now and it’s been great each visit, though be prepared to wait about for a seat on busy evenings when the suits drop in for an after office tipple and a few games of foosball.
it's well worth it though, and I hope this pop-up keeps it up!
