I'm forever in the sate of awwww.. when I come around St. Paul's. Its a magnificent church. I've never seen a church so grand. Its so beautifully built the scale of the architecture, the accessibility to everything. Beautifully restored. London let me starstruck everywhere I walked around. The old Victorian buildings, the diversity, food, cafe, shops, museums, churches, parks, monuments everything. My boyfriend's work is just a walk to St Paul's for lunch its more than perfect place to sit eat and unwind. The St Paul's cafe was a portal back in time
the cafe is next to the gift shop and has a simple sitting set up
The cafe is small with limited choices. Cappuccino was good and the Victorian sponge cake was scrumptious, melt in the mouth, it was a good hearty slice of cake. Due to tourist attraction its a bit busy, certainly not where you want to relax or read a book but hell who wants to do that in there its a gorgeous place. Walk around and enjoy the architecture. After seeing the majestic St Paul's it's a must to enjoy coffee in St Paul's cafe to absorb all the beautiful details you just treated to your eyes and senses.
Its not often that you go for Afternoon Tea and take more photos of the surroundings than the food itself. Unless, you go to St Paul's Cathedral where the views are breathtaking. . The Cathedral sits up on the highest point of the City of London, on the top of Ludgate Hill. St Paul's as we see it today is the product of a complete rebuild to its 17th Century Baroque style by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London.
Was here on a busy Saturday night - parents weekend. It was quite busy. The service was uneven but a restaurant like St Paul should be up to the challenge. The menu is ambitious - there were dishes including goat and rabbit the night we were there. The food is quite good but on the pricey side. $30+ for full sized entrees is high, although there are half portions, appetizers and flatbreads for less. The chef here loves sauces and there were just too many sweet flavors for one plate. But overall I love the taste!
