I was walking through the area and was in the mood for a drink so walked over to the closesr pub. It was way to crowded for my liking and I happened to catch this non-descript sign that said 2x1 happy hour. Said to myself what the hell. Walked in and the place was empty sans another customer who I had to ask if the place was open.
I thought about walking out but I gave the bar a look as I usually do and it looked like a proper one so i said what the hell. BEST DECISION EVER. The bartender arrived and i tried the a cocktail from the menu. The guy knew what he was doing so doing I what I do, I decided to stat for the long haul and have a cocktail "omakase". He (and his manager) had free reign and they not dissapoint. Definitely my go to for a happy hour drink in London.
My friend and I booked a table at Pucci after reading Jay Rayner's review on the Guardian, and it was fantastic! I love eating out and have been to many restaurants of all types and budgets, and Pucci is one of the best!
The food is excellent. The menu is small but very well crafted and the attention to every aspect of the food makes eating there a real joy.
The music is top notch, the staff and owner are all very friendly, highly professional and humorous. The ambience is wonderful. It's warm, friendly and fun, and very tastefully decorated.
We didn't indulge in cocktails or dessert this time, but had a (great!) coffee at the bar after dinner. I'm recommending Pucci to everyone I know and will be back soon to sample more!
Thank you Pucci!
I had dinner with seven friends at Pucci Mayfair last night and thought it was fabulous. Don’t think that this is just a posh pizzeria - it’s so much more. Rufus who runs front of house recommended we tried a few starters to share which were all delicious and then we had to share a few of the mouth watering mains like the lamb cutlets, duck breast & the brisket with a couple of pizzas (be rude not to) thrown in for good measure. Every one of us loved the food and he service was great. We felt really well looked after. These guys take great pride in the food they serve & it really does show. Also the location is just amazing. Minutes walk from either Oxford Circus or Bond Street tubes and in the absolute heart of the west end. I can’t wait to go back!
