Im no expert on Vietnamese cuisine, but saw this and HAD to try it. Pho Chin. Wow! Soft, succulent shredded beef brisket with glass noodles served in a beautiful, broth. The broth was to die for. It tasted ‘clean’ full of flavour. You were given a bowl of chilli’s, fresh herbs and bean sprouts. Wow, wow, wow! Using both chopsticks and the traditional large spoon, I was in heaven. I was incredibly full after, but felt healthy and very happy after this. Food heaven! #openkitchen #tasty #vietnamesefood #soup
We had the goi cuon (spring rolls in rice paper), goi du du(the best raw papaya salad ever!!..where do they get such fresh raw papayas?!) and pho ga (chicken noodle soup with boiled chicken and broth). The portions are quite generous in this vietnamese restaurant chain. I would have loved to sit down and have this mean in a nice restaurant, instead we had this in the food court at Westfield Startford. So it was the usual, busy, hungry foodcourt where you have to keep an eye on who is getting up to grab seats! All the dishes were well presented and were very very pleasing.
Nice and healthy Vietnam food from this casual dinner spot. A large dining area with loads of counters serving different types of food. Place your order, grab your tray and food, then sit down to enjoy. They have fried dishes with rice as well as hearty salads. We opted for the broth with brisket and wild mushrooms. Great for the winter detox. I have loads of Independent Viet places near me in Hoxton which I suspect is better than this chain, but they certainly give a good go at authenticity. Having been to Hanoi and tried some of these dishes in their natural habitat, I give this a thumbs up for effort.
