We were looking for a traditional breakfast in a cafe not a chain restaurant. We entered the cafe and were immediately welcomed into the cafe .The waitress came over in good time to take our drink order then gave us plenty of time to decide what to have one of our party asked if there was gluten free food available. There was plenty to choose from .We ordered a traditional breakfast a ham and cheese omelette with beans a bacon and egg ciabatta and scrambled egg bacon fried tomatoes beans and toast .The food was all lovely and hot and very tasty .It also needs to be said that the coffee was very good too.
Such a cute place, the owner, the waiter and the lady in the kitchen all three were very kind and pleasant. The owner will tell you interesting facts about UK customs and lovely conversation.
My mom's coffee was great, my peppermint tea, beyond amazing, and the scone with cream and jam (cream first!) delicious.
Will take everyone there.
Very friendly service and very good food. The waiter saw me reading the menu on the street and invited me in. I had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage and french toast. The food came quickly and everything was spot on. Tables out on the street, inside and downstairs, plus a terrace in back. Great spot for a low key local meal.
