Food is delicious and pretty cheap actually, very fast, good service and very nice staff. Great for just food, although there's no atmosphere at all and the place is not very nice. We also came here for karaoke and it was my worst karaoke experience as yet - avoid! If you go for the large room, you won't be singing in a closed room, but basically in the main restaurant. Mics didn't work, you don't even have the original music. Much better to go for the Lucky Voice, even if it's a bit more expensive!
Consistently high quality fresh Japanese food, including the huge Big Ben bento: sashimi, sushi, noodles, miso, tempura, teriyaki salmon and chicken skewers. Free refills of Japanese tea, all served by friendly staff who genuinely seem to want you to have a lovely, comfortable lunch.
There's nothing sophisticated about the decor inside (although the rows of saki intrigue), and it's probably better suited towards a catch up with friends or business lunch (it's right by St Pauls tube station) than a first date, but if you care more about the food than the surroundings, you will be happy.
Upstairs is a takeaway version of Ribon which always seems to be busy.
For what you get, prices are very reasonable.
