Dim sum lunch. Interesting use of an old church building. We ordered the holy trinity of yum cha - char siew bao, har gow and siew mai. The char siew filling was overly sweet to me but the rest were good. In fact the har gow was amazingly delish! The dried shrimp cheong fun was also interesting - hae bee hiam infused and because it was pan-fried, there was a slight crisp to it.
Beautiful food. Came here for Sunday brunch as a group, which I think is the best way to enjoy the dim sum offering. Each dim sum dish comes with three pieces so it's great to choose a few and share them around the table. They also have a dim sum platter which has a couple of pieces of each dim sum - this is a popular option for two people dining.
The main courses are generous and delicious. The fried rice and vermicelli section is to be avoided - we found that these were a little on the bland side and lacked the other ingredients like seafood etc. that we expected more of.
We were so full from all of this exploration that nobody could venture into dessert territory. We did have a peek at the menu and will definitely be revisiting for the szechuan pepper pineapple and other tempting treats!
