This is a nice restaurant for dinner and live jazz, poetry or comedy. The venue is decent in appearance. Suitable for casual attire and the food is pretty average.
The Hideaway offers something more than a local Jazz club that features Jazz,Funk,R&B,Swing and Soul that makes you wish you played a instrument with the passion and experience of these talented musicians or was vocally gifted as the voices that perform at Hideaway. With a ambient lit room the ambience and atmosphere suits how you would imagine a Jazz club to be portrayed. In establishments like this something suffers or lacks and it’s usually the food. However I’m gratified in saying this is not true of hideaway. With good portions, quick service as well as attentive and knowledgable staff, nicely seasoned food, especially look out for the sticky toffee pudding for desserts…..I will certainly visit this hidden gem in Streatham.Points of note - Rear parking is a plus Good for groups of all sizes Ticket prices are reasonable £15-£20.Cost of Meal – £15 upwards Group size – 2 – 20ppl Location – 2 Empire Mews Streatham London SW16 2EDCarlstimeout rating – 8/10Writer ~ C.Y
Great cafe with good coffee and food. Friendly staff though service suffers at busy times
