On the top floor of the Wellcome Collection is the Wellcome Kitchen. Spacious, clean and comfortable seating with cushions makes up the teal green restaurant area. There is soft music in the background and the whole atmosphere feels very calming, tranquil and relaxing. It doesn’t feel that you are in a museum cafe.
Went here last minute, after been let down by another location who lost our booking. Really saved the day with a lovely afternoon tea for my mum's birthday. Wide variety of cakes, including warm scones (only one jam option though), amazing tea (get the oolong!), and some little innovative touches to make it really special. Also happily created a vegetarian version, with totally different versions of many of the sandwiches (again, with no warning/pre booking - impressive and appreciated). Lovely attentive service too. Definitely recommend.
