Well the place does full justice to south Indian cuisine including the quintessential filter coffee which is rare to get in London. With its popularity it's always full and hence the service suffers so if you plan to eat here ensure you come in early !
Yet to taste the north Indian fare which is the plan for my next visit here , would not recommend chola bhatura as it was strictly average...
One of the Famous & Biggest Indian Restaurant in East Ham, serving decent food having good sitting capacity.
On weekends you will usually find people lined up and waiting for their turn.
We visited the place for lunch on a weekend. Got table right away as we were only 2, but saw people were waiting who were more in numbers. The service was little slow or may be cuz of number of people. We had the below
- Mashroom Manchurian: It was decent, full of Bell peppers and Mushroom and could feel the taste of the tomato and other sauce used. Not very good but okayish kind of.
- Chole Bhature: It actually took a while to come, and had to remind once. The chole were good and they helped with another serving when asked without any extra cost. The bhature were good as well and enough for one person. They actually mixed one order as had asked for Methi bhature but they got me the normal one. But still it was good.
Overall, it is a good place to dine for Indian food and will revisit again.
Note: The above rating is mainly for Chole Bhature and might change once I try more items from their menu.
Loved their variety of dosas served with different types of chutneys each with unique flavour. Their filter coffee is a must try!! Even their paneer chilli was nice. The schezwan noodles and manchurian lacked flavour. Otherwise the ambience and service was really nice.
