We stay with friends in Clapham a few times a year and stumbled across this absolute gem yesterday while looking for a decent independent coffee shop.the brunch menu is indeed excellent. We both chose the poached egg with prosciutto benedict. Unfortunately they were out of the pastry they use for this dish, so we had it with toast......land guess what? It was still superb! I live in Brighton where we are point be a plethora of really good Indy coffee shops, and Tart is right there with the best. A very friendly atmosphere, excellent coffee, unhurried and great service with background music that doesn't get in the way. Guess I've just found a new Clapham stopping point for my visits :-)
I just wanted to say thank you for the lovely cafe you have in Clapham.
I have been here 2 days in a row and today had the vegan soup and loved it !!! The best carrot soup I had in my whole life.
Please congratulate the chef and the lady serving at the tables today, she was very efficient, friendly and very attentive.
Yesterday the lady serving on the tables was a little too shy but the gentleman with Spanish accent ( i think) was very attentive.
I live in Southampton and come often to Clapham, next time will come with my partner and hopefully you will have vegan tarts ;).
I saw that you want to expand Tarts, and I like the way you have that info on your menus.
Southampton needs a place like this and specially with vegan option.
