I love the falafels served here. Usually go for the falafel and guacamole with aubergine topping. It’s a great place to grab a nice lunch when you are tired of eating salad all week 😊😊..
Delicious falafel with fresh ingredients - it is one of the best spots for takeaway at St. Paul’s. The tahini sauce is perfect as well. The lunchtime queue is long but moves very quickly
My new found place for falafels, though 10 - 12 minutes walk from my office i prefer this over to the falafel shop near to cannon street.
Pilpel's falafel are crispier and their lunch options with Pita are good tasty and filling portions.
Amazingly fresh falafels. Salad is filling and healthy fresh. Do try the hummus and their tahini. Quite filling and value for money. Must go to place.
Pilpel tells a heartfelt story of a young boy continuing his Grandfather's legacy. Was he successful? Well, with 4 restaurants set up around Spitalfields and City, Pilpel is indeed off to a great start. The Middle Eastern street food is proving to be hugely popular with lunchtime queues out the door and with a short selection on the menu; the restaurant is focused on the quality of its dishes. The two ways to take your falafels away are in a pitta with salad and hummus, or in a container with a generous portion of all three with a pitta on the side. The falafels are crisp on the outside and soft in the middle giving them the perfect consistency and a taste that is uncompromising. The falafel is made with the 'secret recipe' which undoubtedly gives you a range of spices and provides you with the unique 'Pilpel Experience'. The addition of a choice of salad and sauces give it my stamp of approval for a lunchtime treat.
Falafel heaven! Crunchy on the outside soft and well cooked on the inside.
Generous portions. Great salad bar.
Make your own or choose one of the favourites and add fillings of a boiled egg or artichokes or aubergine or artichokes.
Lunch times can be hectic but queues move quickly - service and the staff are helpful and super friendly!
This was my favorite meal in London. I think this will make some people mad but it's exactly what I wanted that day. A good salad adjacent meal with some of the best falafel I've had. My partner hates falafel and she even liked these ones.
I'm glad we ordered extra falafel on the side.
Second time eating at Pilpel, first time was at the Commercial Road branch and it did not disappoint, not sure why I haven't eaten.more.times, perhaps as they don't have enough branches spread out in London.
This particular branch was excellent as the other. Great customer service, quick and friendly.
The good is amazing, everything from the falafel, aubergine to the salads, the sauces and tahini and the portions are generous and lets not forget the lovely and cute pitta bread they give. Food is vegan and healthy. We need more of this type of fast food rather than the typical fried wings, burgers and chips. Good price and very filling, dinner after work was sorted.
Highly recommended and would come back again and again to eat here.
Main meal with extra topping, brown bread pitta and a can of drink for £10. Better quality and much more heathier than the local fast food restaurants. Ate late in the evening but very happy to have found it and will definitely go again.
Staff is very friendly.👍 Foods are delicious and vegetarian friendly. Under £10 including drink, really not expensive in London central.
