I was here for dinner with friends. Booked a table online so it was hassle-free and we don’t have to wait longer when arrived. Staffs were friendly and opened up some conversations with us.
I ordered çöp sis (chopped lamb shish), which is marinated lamb cooked over char grill served with rice and salad. It didn’t take long for the food to be served. The portion was big and it tasted amazing, and they also served some side dishes including aubergines and bread that made everything seem so satisfying.
It was truly an amazing dinner experience we had. The space wasn’t really thoroughly decorated, but your eyes will be spoiled by amazing shish and grills displays. Additionally, even though I can’t manage to order some desserts, I can recommend you to order its famous firin sütlaç (baked rice pudding)!
Funny story: My friend took this bottled drink out of the fridge thinking it’s a wine. It turned out to be salgam, a traditional Turkey beverage which means turnip juice. Imagine how disappointed she was.
Absolutely love their food been going there for years and years took my entire family even extended family there lol even my friends ha ha it's every body's favourite turkish resturant to eat at now. Its always really busy so obviously thats shows there is somethimg about their food thats why its always full up. Their bread smells and tastes so nice i could just eat the bread and nothing else to be honest thats how amazing it is so personally i have hot mezze platter and mixed grill portions are huge so dont order too much grill for one is more than enough for two and you will still have left over i am certain of that defo try the classic rice pudding desert really amazing. They serve free tea at the end not tea bag tea but proper tea made out of fresh green tea leaves really nice of them to give that as complimentary to everyone also at the start they give you lots of free bread and you can ask for more as many times as you like and they serve it with many things thats also complimentary (their service and food is like no other no wonder i have been going there for over 6 years
After a short walk from the underground station I finally reached Diyarbakir restaurant. When coming into the restaurant one can feel the cleanliness and the welcoming of their staff. The name itself is from the kurdish city Amed but unfortunately the staff only spoke turkish. Coming to the food now. They gave us free starters like freshly baked bread and a delicious yoghurt sauce. For the main I went for the mixed grill which was really good, the texture and everything about it. The quality of their meet is really good. Lastly we finished with the kurdish tea. Best finish! Recommend this place!
Cons: what's missing from a top score is that the plate came without any sauce but after we asked for it they gave it to us.
