Great, basic honest Portuguese food. Seabass is excellent and according to my girlfriend so is the octopus. Fast and friendly service. Well worth it If you're in the area
This humble restaurant has a family feel and cosy atmosphere.
Lured in by the sign outside, which showed off a variety of fresh fish and interesting dishes, we were not disappointed.
The menu has plenty of fish to offer both as starters and mains.
We began with a nice bottle of white wine, brought over by the friendly waitress, to accompany the following plates. . .
To start, clams for the man, calamari for me. Both were very tasty and put us in the mood for our fish dish.
Monkfish with rice in a tomato and paprika based sauce, the fish was gorgeous, albeit a dainty portion but was just right for me.
The man had a whole sea bream with veg on the side which he very much enjoyed.
I was the only one to have a dessert. A traditional style tart made with coconut, cream and strawberry sauce on top. It was okay but not amazing as it's quite dry.
I would say the food is reasonably priced but quite simplistic so not much of a wow factor for this place.
Went for the lunch menu £4.95 for seafood rice. Fantastic value, my wife had the fish cakes.. Great find, will return.
