This bustling restaurant was hard to get in to, so best to arrive before they open to secure a seat. We walked down for lunch and got in after a 20 minute wait.
Food was lovely, service wasn’t outstanding but also wasn’t bad just standard. The room has a lot of energy and overall I would say it’s worth the wait! Portion sizes are generous, and pasta was delicious.
My friend and I popped in last Sunday around 5.30pm when the kitchen reopened for dinner time. We felt the staff was very nice and friendly which lead us to our table. We were asked right away for water and were given menus!
The restaurant started to fill up very quickly in the meantime which gave a nice vibrant experience. Staff were on it, service was looking smooth and efficient! We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano. As starters we shared the caponata bruschetta with Stacciatella cheese and the red prawns tartare! In my opinion portions were a little small, that’s because I’m a little greedy myself but they were really so good! Pastas wise, we decided to go for the pappardelle al ragu which was delicious and was paring perfectly with our wine choice, also we had the Gigli which was spot on, probably my favourite dish served with sausage, fennel, chilli ragu. Yummm! My friend wanted to share an Hazelnut ice cream Affogato as a dessert with was drowned in Coffe by Cristina? I will be definitely coming back for more pasta dishes!
After we were suggested to pop in at the underground bar which we visited and had a couple of after dinner cocktails.
The bar was cozy with a nice atmosphere perfect to have nice chats!
Grazie for everything!
Nothing short of delicious! Last Tuesday after arriving 10 minutes before the doors opened we managed to be seated straight away. The food was incredible from the small plates to the pasta everything was mouth watering, there are countless amounts of Italians cuisine restaurants in London. However, flour and grape is definitely up their with the best! I’m not sure why i waited so long to visit after having this gem on my list of places to try for so long. Unfortunately, you can not book so be prepared to wait as it’s either walk-in or join the wait list on DOJO. We spent most of our evening planing our next visit where we hope to try the dessert menu and a few more drinks off of the cocktail list + whatever else we didn’t manage to try off of the menu. It’s safe to say there is nothing that I wouldn’t recommend everything we order was top tier.
