The last time I sat in Brownie Box eating my slice of tiramisu cheesecake, with its tangy amaretto base, fluffy centre, and lightly cocoa-dusted topping, I was tempted to smear it all over my Chromebook screen in the futuristic hope that Google would enable you, dear reader, to taste but a shadow of this divine combination. Then the rest of me said NAFF OFF GOOGLE, THAT’S MY BLOODY CHEESECAKE, and even if I could, I wouldn’t, because it’s just too amazing and you wouldn’t appreciate it, so back away whilst you still can, you ungrateful pudding-stealer, just BACK RIGHT AWAY AND PUT DOWN THE FORK.
A quaint, friendly cafe on the high street with an impressive assortment of cakes and many twists on the old brownie favourite. Had a beautiful chai latte accompanied by one of the famous 'bronuts'. Couldn't resist adding a ferrero rocher brownie to my order. Both were incredibly decadent and are sure to fill up even the biggest sweet tooth. Not sure if the bronut will be a household name by the end of the year, up against the revered cronut. But I enjoyed the bold inspired menu and will be keen to drop by for a morning tea treat again. The staff were particularly friendly, offering suggestions to match the brownie with the customer. Would be nice to see a less generic country-kitchen decor used. Hopefully the lure of the delicious cake window draws in customers nevertheless.
I love brownie box. It's hidden away on old Brompton road and is a fantastic alternative to Starbucks/costa. U get great cupcakes, tea and most of all brownies! Really reasonable price and friendly atmosphere. As an added bonus taste card gives 50% off!
