You don't really have to look all that hard in order to find a plate of pasta here, but it did make me a bit indecisive. I went for my local Italian restaurant called L'Antipasto on Battersea Park Road. It's a small but friendly place, however the acoustics are a bit rubbish so when it's full, it's loud. Especially in summer when they open the windows and the Battersea Park Road traffic seems to drive right by your table.
We always look forward to coming here.. We've been coming to this restaurant for more than 15 years- the last time just last weekend. We travel 20 miles from Berkshire, usually in slow traffic, to get there. We probably pass close to 20 restaurants with similar menus on the way. So its fair to assume we like it. Its not that its the best food on the planet (though I think that all my family would say that we've never eaten anything here that wasn't at least competent and tasty); its not that the restaurant is plush-it isn't. But the combination of food, value, friendliness, service and a kind of homely atmosphere when taken together make the journey well worthwhile. Its always a place we look forward to going to.
Consistently high standard. Great selection , friendly and attentive service , I would highly recommend this family run italian for value , ambience and of course the high quality food.
