I was at Fischer's with my wife and we were meeting up with a friend who recommended this. Really enjoyed the late lunch here. The ambience is quite old school and nice. I had eggs benedict and they were fantastic! Really enjoyed the meal here. The service was great and we cannot recommend this enough (especially to sea food lovers).
Had a lovely Saturday evening dinner here, in grand wooden surroundings, feels like you are in Austria ! The stuffed animal heads on the walls are a bit scary. The room reminds me a lot of The Grand Budapest Hotel movie. Toilets are equally grand, although small
The food is wonderful, very authentic. For starters we had wild mushroom tart and a selection of 3 brotchen - very tasty delicacies on little sourdough bread 'soldiers'
For mains we both had Wiener schnitzel (= veal in breadcrumbs), an enormous dish which beat both of us, but very tasty. We had sides of creamy mash and baked cauliflower. Lovely warm strudel with creme fraiche to finish off
A really nice all round special experience - quite pricey (as the schnitzel is expensive) but well worth it, in lovely location
Really enjoyable meal here, in grand(ish) surroundings.
Highlights : assorted fish brötchen, wiener schnitzel, roast hake, tafelspitz, extensive selection of würstchen.
