We started off with drinks and I ordered a Don Pablo which was very good.
We then started with a Hot & Sour soup which tasted better than most other places.
For starters, I was really impressed with the The spice route ‘Chai’ (Tofu). That was the best amongst the starters.
The wasabi prawns and wasabi tofu were too soggy, sweet and hardly had the zing of wasabi.
The Soft shelled crab was just not worth ordering for the price, for the taste or for the texture. It was just bad.
The layered tofu which is the vegetarian version of mock meat was bad as well. The texture, the taste, the flavour just not up to the mark.
For the mains we ordered Roasted Chilean sea bass which was great, and yet again my favourite was the vegetarian main of Mapo Spicy Aubergines and Homemade Tofu. It came sizzling in a bowl and it stayed hot until the very last bite. We ordered the Ginger flavoured fried rice to go with the mains and it was a great choice. Finally for Desserts we ordered The chocolate delicacy - Chocolate Grows On Trees. The presentation, the taste and the quality was just mind blowing. A must must try for all those who have a sweet tooth and love chocolate.
For a Michelin Star Restaurant I think the quality of the seafood starters can be so much better. Having worked in a Restaurant by a Michelin star chef (ABC V -Jean Georges) I know the quality that needs to be put into every dish that is on the menu.
But nonetheless a good experience. 👍

❤️: Everything was absolutely amazing. But the best highlight dishes of the meal would have to go to the Nanyang Chili Lobster and Peking Duck. Don’t miss the cute dessert plate, Oprah’s Contradiction, combining small bites of the best tasting elements together.

Just down the road from Grosvenor House in the heart of Mayfair is the lovely little restaurant serving wonderful Chinese food. You could bump into a celebrity or two but the food is great. The corn fed chicken and the sea bass with ginger are just done right. The exquisite 6 shades of chocolate is the ultimate dessert to finish off a fine meal
