Found this lovely place while walking in Marylebone. Always wanted to try out proper Greek food. The ambience was good and the service was very nice and quick as well. Coming to the major attraction (i.e. the food), the flavours blended really well and all the meat in our chicken, lamb, prawns, etc. were cooked to perfection. For the desert we had the traditional baclava and some tea, which was again done very well. Overall the experience was wonderful. Maybe it could do a bit better on the value for money scenario. However, we are students who probably find every expensive. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to try out Greek food.
Being back in London has been tiring so far, as moving always saps a lot of my energy. Between unpacking, organising and arranging the flat, it’s been an absolute whirlwind. Yesterday I decided to take a break from it all with a couple of friends and wandered around Marylebone in search of a nice, inexpensive lunch. We’d visited Cocomomo recently, and right opposite it we found The Real Greek, a lovely, friendly restaurant very close to Baker Street.
Good authentic food - great after an event at the Hellenic Centre opposite. My visit at The Real Greek has been a while ago, but recently I passed by it and was reminded of the nice evening I had there after being at a Greek cultural event in the Hellenic Centre just opposite the restaurant.
What I remember was a good, while crowded, atmosphere with good service and authentic food.
I thought to give a quick rating and this short review. Will try it again the next time I am in London.
