If you've followed me for a while, you'll probably have established that I'm a big meat eater by now (see here, here and here for 'the proof'). You'll know how much I love fried chicken and a bloody good burger - but do you know what my real Achilles heel is? Steak. . You just can't beat a perfectly cooked piece of steak, can you? Perfectly seared on the outside and lovely and rare inside (...I think I'm drooling). I'm always on the hunt for my next fix so when I started seeing huge slabs of steak on silver platters plastered across my Instagram feed - I HAD to find out where they were from!

Pasta Bites

A few months ago I came across news on another new opening not far from where we live. An Italian restaurant, with butcher and bakery, under the railway arches by Union Street. We were unable to book during the soft opening at 50% off but we visited soon after… and have already become regulars! Needless to say we really like Macellaio RC.

Having dinner here do the first time. Cozy environment, we choose a few course from their tapas menu to share, all taste good. Especially love their chicken liver pate and the pizza, very crispy and taste original. They also have steak and big chop offered which are very attractive too but since we are not very hungry so we skip it. Highly recommend their tiramisu too!
