A fine establishment tucked in a quiet street in Mayfair. A smiling concierge with a fine English hat welcomes you in.
At a glance you'd expect a pretentious setting but it is friendly here at La Caprice. It has a certain glamourous 'old money' feel to it. We were the youngest crowd.
Menu is rich and mostly seafood. I started off with the salmon ceviche which came with a fried plantain. Was very good though not as chilled as I would have preferred. The yellowtail tuna came next. The tuna was very good and the presentation of the dish was exquisite. Ginger and salmon in the middle richly complimented the dish. I tried the ribeye which looked appealing but tasted OK. The tuna steak was also on the dry side. For desserts we had a praline hazelnut ice cream; enriched with more hazelnuts than sugar. A very good experience all in all but appealing more to an older crowd. I told my wife we'd do our 30 anniversary here. Don't think Ill come here before. £60-70 a person.

Must have the crispy duck salad it is sensational!
Love it!. This is one of my favourite restaurants in London, it's handy as it's just around the corner from Green Park station, and right by my club. The restaurant itself has a very art deco 1920's feel to it, the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food is absolutely superb! I'll be doing a proper blog review as soon as I remember to take my camera!
