I love coming here for the luxurious yet relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The lunch menu is always great value and the food is clean and quite delicious.
I had a main steak tartare, which is always seasoned well and the texture is amazing with a side of chips, and for dessert a rum baba. The pear sorbet that came with it was absolutely amazing. My sister had the cod and pistachio, which both looked superb.
All washed down with a glass of champagne, it is perfect for a leisurely lunch and treat!
The Corinthia Hotel is pretty impressive. It sits, like a grand old Dowager Duchess wearing her sumptuous finery and jewels, on a corner plot between the Thames Embankment and Whitehall, the street that is synonymous with the Government of the United Kingdom. An excerpt from my full blog post:
"The Northall Bar offers a variety of champagne flights featuring bubbly from Laurent-Perrier to Rothschild at a price range of £16 to £29. Considering you get three glasses of bubbles, that's quite a good price for a hotel bar.
I opted for the Laurent-Perrier flight (£25) where you get an LP Brut, LP Rosé and an LP Vintage 2006. If you remember, I went to James Court Hotel a few months back where I was treated to their own LP flight. The main difference, other than the £5 disparity, is that SJC's vintage was from 2004. Though I much prefer the 2004, I genuinely think the ambience at the Corinthia makes up for it. "
