I have great respect for Italy’s gastronomic culture. Their regional cuisine genuinely drive great fascination and the greatest of chefs still worship their mothers. It’s familiar, familial, and full of heart. Something you definitely share with people to have good conversations about. When A suggested we catch up for brunch at Berardi’s in Marylebone, I was quite curious. Italian food isn’t something I’d pick particularly for that time of day, but I’ve heard nice things. Admittedly, mostly about aesthetics and their ‘grammable plates, but I was keen to try the food.
I went to this place last Friday and loved it. Not very far from the Marble Arch station this place is amazing to grab after work drinks ( happy Hours on weekdays till 630 PM ) My friend and I grabbed a table outside and gulped down our Aperol Spritzs
I can't wait to go back and looks like I will be frequenting this place quite often :)
My brunch at Bernardi's was really good, had a brioche bun with fennel sausage, fontina and poached egg (original version has it with a fried egg but I'm a poached egg addict!) out of the brunch options I think I went for the best one, considering that the other plates looked quite small. Overall was a good brunch and lovely atmosphere!
