This is one of the bigger branches. It's nicely decorated and does have that Parisian chic essence.
Whilst not very busy, the service was a little slow, but the waiter looking after my girls and I was very attentive, nice and helpful as were other members of staff.
Portion sizes were decent, we did not leave hungry. I feasted on moules mariniere not the best I have eaten, there was very little of the base, but perhaps I am comparing to having this in France. My eldest ordered a steak baguette whilst my younger two had chicken goujons. A little disappointed with a starter from the kids menu - baguette and crudités. This was just two slices of tomatoes and carrots, I think it could have been more appetising. My other daughter ordered garlic bread which she enjoyed, also from the kids menu. Unfortunately the condiments with the steak did not appeal to my eldest who ended up eating just the steak and the rest of my moules. We now know better for next time.
The WC facilities are on the lower ground floor and is kept clean.
Prices can be a little steep. This meal was shared for Mother's Day which promised a glass of Prosecco when booking, this did not appear.
I will go back to Café Rouge, but perhaps my local branch.
I would appreciate a thumbs up if you found this review helpful. Thank you. 😊
We went there for lunch with our tour group (of 29 people). It took a while for the food to come out. The place was impressive.
We had Camembert with Cranberry Sauce for entré followed by Toasted Sandwich Sauteed Mushroom with melted cheese on top and finished with Crème Brûlée.
The food were presented well and the taste was okay. It just the menu choice wasn't quite right at that time.
Prompt service & requests accommodated with ease. Food was swell & the atmosphere genial. Breaded Whitebait as a starter was scrumptious, as is the Black Angus Burger; a filling main dish with a satisfying portion of Frites. A must try is the Crème Brûlée for dessert, delightfully accompanied by a Almond tuile it is perfectly sweetened with the caramelisation topping.
