As you already know from my recent Burger and Prosecco Afternoon Tea post, I'm on the hunt for the most fun afternoon teas in London! I'm so fed up with the same old boring ones, and well, I've found another goodun for you all. The 'Candy' afternoon tea at Emeline's Lounge inside Conrad St James, is so freaking delicious. And perfect for any of you who, like me, have a very sweet tooth.
I’ve confessed to my Champagne addiction many times, but rarely have I admitted to my afternoon tea addiction. Something about this British tradition always has a way of getting me all tingly inside. The cakes, the sandwiches, the fluffy scones and fragrant teas. It’s nearly always terrific value too. Rarely over £60 per person and lasts for most of the afternoon – a bargain if you ask me. One of the best places for afternoon tea has always been at Conrad London St. James and with its latest launch of the Conrad Candy Shop Afternoon Tea – it’s somehow managed to get even better still.
To snap out of my summer nostalgia, I spent the afternoon at luxury London hotel Conrad London St James, sampling the brand new Snow Queen Afternoon Tea.
The menu, created by head pastry chef Zoe Wager, is a wintry extravaganza of blue and white, covered in Christmassy sparkles. As I took in the elegant setting in lounge area Emmeline’s, with the harpist in the corner, and the cute platters filled with treats, I felt like I had wandered into a fairy tale…
