We kicked off the Afternoon Tea with the sandwiches first, which were a lovely, flaky hybrid of bun and croissant, called the ‘crobun’. Among the fillings were one of my favourites, Chapel & Swann smoked salmon with pickled cucumber, tarragon, preserved lemon & cream cheese. There was a delicious twist on a traditional cucumber sandwich with salted cucumber with tarragon pesto, preserved lemon and cream cheese.
Beautiful open mezzanine French restaurant with wonderful service and waiting staff. Food was very good and extremely good value Christmas menu with deliciously plump and juicy Turkey breast, incredible pate and lovely desserts. Would have been 5 stars if the main courses came out quicker (we waited 45 minutes but it wasn't super busy) but we were having a great catch up so it didn't matter too much.
Perfect place for a lunch meeting in Shoreditch / Old Street. Highly recommend.
