Superb home-made meat pies here--light crust, tender meats, gravy that has been simmered to perfection. Avoid the touristy joints nearby -- the Cutty Sark, for instance--and seek out the places locals in the know go. Large portions, including a big plate of broccoli, carrots and cabbage to go with you entree. Chips would be better if home fries, but what are you going to do? It's England.

Quite simply the most fun you will ever have eating dinner. Astounding food, it really does serve the best pie in London. Do not let anything stop you from eating here when you’re in the area. They even allow you to bring your own wine, meaning you can take advantage of the wonderful selection over the road at Theatre of Wine.

A real hidden gem. Off the beaten path sort of feel. If you're looking for genuine home cooked British food, this is where you want to go. EVERYTHING is cooked fresh on the day! We're talking all sorts of pies, fish & chips, Ham, REAL mash potato and gravy! Note: Owner prefers if you ring ahead of time so he can prepare enough food. Trust me, you do not want to miss out on a steak, mushroom and red wine pie.

The service was extraordinarily and the atmosphere was even more so, but the beef pie and the lasagna had little bit too much wine in it.

My friend and I were invited to have dinner here, never been or heard of this place. It was amazing no complaints, the pie was perfect, the gravy out of this world, the veg crunchy and the chips proper home made. I loved it. Considering I don't eat pies it was perfection! Highly recommend.
