Hired a day boat and had an amazing day out with family. Beautiful scenery and friendly people both on and off the canal. Great to start with breakfast baps from the tea rooms.

Did the self drive day hire, staff were friendly and informative. Quite easy to drive the boat and all required equipment is both provided and explained. Map given which lists the bridges and you are informed of the locations of the narrow parts of the canal. Boat is nice small size which is handy for beginners but plenty of space including outdoor seats and indoor area with table. Toilet on board along with fridge, sink, kettle, plates, cutlery, tea/coffee/sugar, kitchen towels & washing up liquid. Good amount of time given for the route. Takes about 2hrs to travel there and 2hrs 30mins to travel back so you have a good few hours to stop and relax along the way. 09.30 arrival and you have the boat until 5pm. Dogs can come along too. Overall, good and different experience. Would do this again.

We hired a day boat for my father in law's 80th birthday and had a fabulous time. The handover and safety briefing was very easy to follow and provided by a lovely friendly man. The day boat has everything you need and we had a brilliant day. My father in law loved steering the boat. Definitely recommend it and the people that run the boats are so friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful place to visit, so relaxing and full of history. I would recommend one of the horse drawn canal tours and the aqua duct tour. Going up to the Chainbridge hotel and the views from the hotel and the bridge well worth it.

Very nice 2 hour canal trip. Good boat, good captain, good selection of foods and drinks. And, our superb hostess gave us first class service on the entire trip. And by the way, the fruit cake served onboard was home made by the hostess - impressive. Prices on board were very reasonable; so also fare at 17 £ a person. Rose wine a little too sweet for my taste, but Ghost Ship !! Pale Ale cool and spikily hoppy. An absolute recommendation.

Really enjoyed the horse drawn canal boat trip. Harley the cob did a great job of towing us along. Very relaxing 45 minute trip.

We needed an activity suitable for adults (one elderly with limited mobility), children (aged 6 and 9), and a dog. This was perfect. Llangollen was a lovely day out generally, but the canal boat trip really made it. Allow a bit of time to find parking and walk there. The trip we went on was 45 minutes there, with a 30-minute stop and then 45 minutes back. The weather was glorious. The staff were really great too.

Beautiful spot with a variety of boat trips available but there is also a great cafe on site which should be really reviewed as a separate entity but it’s not on google. Anyway the food is great, well priced and you get monster cake portions. Plenty of seating inside and out but I bet it gets filled up during busy weekends/holidays. Very close to Llangollen town centre. Toilets on site and pet friendly.
