An absolute delight.
The food is on par with - maybe better than - top restaurants in Cardiff or London. But this place is far more special.
Refreshingly unpretentious, traditional but thoughtful menu and vibe. Feels like going to old friends' house for dinner (if your friends are amazing hosts/chefs).
May be wrong, but got the impression that the hosts do this for the sheer joy of running a great restaurant - this makes it such a rare experience.

Fantastic food and service upon our visit last week. Very attentive and (medium) rare that a chef comes out to check his meals are okay for the customers, great touch 👌...we went for the Black Pudding Stack and Mushroom/Goat's cheese to start with steak and lamb for mains. Great portions as well and is a must for any visit or stay nearby!

Lovely place and delicious food. We mentioned there was a vegan in the group when we booked and they provided options for all 3 courses and made great dauphinoise potatoes for me to go with the mains.
