Visited to see Father Christmas with my daughter and sister, we also had afternoon tea in the restaurant, and the food was great and the service was excellent. The father Christmas was very authentic and the setting was brilliant.
Went last week with the Mrs for a mootch and afternoon tea. It was nice and moderately priced.
It is dog friendly so we wish we would have taken the dog.
Lots of variety from plants, bbqs, board games, fresh produce, frozen meals, deli items, fish, sheds, clothing and much more.
The brands they sell tend to be the higher priced items. The BBQ's for example aren't cheap but look like they will stand the test of time.
The aquatics part it great. Lots of tropical fish and they also have Axolotl's!
I told my son and he wanted to go and see them yesterday.
Free parking. Spacious bays and always seem to be able to get a space close to the entrance 👍
Went for a birthday afternoon tea. Fifteen of us including two children. We were very well looked after and it was a very happy birthday for a 98yr old.
The food was very reasonably priced at £20 for two adults and £15 for two children. The sandwiches for the adults were a mix of smoked salmon and cream cheese, egg and mayo, ham and cheese and cucumber. The children, I thought, had a better selection of tuna and mayo, ham, cheese and jam. The scones were very good with plenty of butter, clotted cream and jam. There was also an excellent mix of small cakes. Tea and coffee were replenished as we wanted.
A very enjoyable afternoon with all you could eat and more. Thanks to the staff.
Took the children to the grotto. It was beautifully decorated. The elf at the entrance was great and put us in a festive mood. The queue was about 25 minutes but there was an activity to do along the way. Santa was brilliant and interacted well with the kids. Only downside was the photo, the lady who took about 2 seconds to take it and didn’t try to get the kids attention. They came out terrible (kids face covered) so we didn’t purchase and was glad we didn’t buy in advance. Luckily we got a few good ones on our phones.
We planned a breakfast stop on our way for the Isle of man ferry ⛴️.
Saturday morning opening at 9am yep! There was a queue outside yep!! #Great Breakfast 😉👍👍
Great place. Wide range of plants. Things for the the kids to see and nice cafe.
Very tasty breakfast, but a shame there wasn't the avocado tost that was on the menu.
I ordered the mini breakfast and it was delicious.
Fairly quiet at 3pm on a Monday. Pleasant staff. Well-stocked outdoor plants and Waitrose. Indoor sales area well laid out, and being restocked for summer.
Visited restaurant Monday 13th November at 1pm. Would like to praise the young man on duty there. He was so cheerful and helpful. Gave us a full rundown on what was available to eat. Much appreciated by my sister in a wheelchair. Well done !
Love this Garden Centre. The plants are always healthy and looked after. Can't go home without a visit to the cafe too. The staff are lovely and helpful, and an added bonus is that its dog friendly too.
