Visited this café recently as we saw some banging reviews. for a meal of special fried rice, chicken mushroom with chips with a side of War Tips, priced at £27. It's a colourful place, with not much parking, The atmosphere lacked warmth, with minimal interaction from the staff. We arrived feeling unwelcome, thinking they were closing, but though it turned out they were still open for another hour and a half. The menu is basic, a typical café menu for the local workmen in overalls, it's nothing you wouldn't see in your local chippy, probably less. If you like a lot of MSG or salt, hot and nicely cooked 'cafe' dinner, small portions then this is the place to come.

Cash only! Remember to bring cash! Lovely food but on the pricy side. So fresh and hot, worth a look if you're in the area, the chop sui roll was nice but for £6 id have expected it to be bigger or 2 in a portion. The dumplings were absolutely amazing though!

Passed this cafe for years and never found out it was a chinese, and so following seeing it on the Hairy Bikers tv show last week so my wife and I went over last Saturday and we weren't disappointed! The chop suey rolls you could die for and I had the best yet sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice. Her ladyship had king prawn foo yung and loved it! and the portions were big! The staff are great and couldn't be friendlier so we'll be back soon!!

Great food in a no nonsense cafe We ordered sweet chilli king prawns, special chop suey and char sui wonton soup. All excellent and great value for money. Lin and another member of staff were really friendly- will go back!

the most warmest welcome from staff. Lynn was fab too and told us the history of her establishment and celebrities who've visited. Food was so so delicious, cooked fresh and hot.Highly recommended. Queues of people waiting for takeaways too. Thank you from the Yorkshire ladies who ate last night.

A dock road cafe that you can get great, authentic Chinese food from, as well as a "Full English" cafe menu. Cheap, filling, quick service & good food - pretty much all you want at times.

It was pouring down when we stumbled across this amazing place. San has been here for almost 40 years and preps and cooks all the food herself. They offer both English and Chinese food which is delicious. I had the salt and pepper ribs and my great niece had chicken with sweet chilli sauce chips and fried rice. The staff and regulars are oh so friendly, it was like eating at home. One thing to bear in mind is that it is CASH ONLY and the nearest cash machine is about 10 minute walk away. Well worth it though and very reasonably priced.

Had some lovely fresh made Asian food at this cafe. Looks like they do a lot of standard English fry ups for the workies, but it is Chinese food that is most worthy.

Been coming here for years .. so pleased the have had some recent good publicity! Chop Suey Rolls are special .. stuffed with char siu and vegetables .. always freshly made .. NEVER frozen like so many others .. hot crispy and very tasty .. they make the perfect starter for your meal. With wonton noodle soup piled with chopped char siu and soft won ton parcels this is the way to beat the cold. Sweet and sour king prawns were very tasty spread over a mountain of fried rice. Nearly forgot the wor tip dumplings with their crispy fried side and juicy filling! Stuff were attentive and very chatty .. like the best of scousers .. proud of their customers and celebrity/influencer fan base. Best to get there soon while it's only popular with the locals.. God knows how they will cope when the new Everton stadium opens next year and the whole world piles in on match days!
