Kinda 'street food' vibe in a restaurant setting, especially with a classy carton, to eat ya meal. The garlic prawns as a 'starter-bite' came in a Thai style sauce, which had a bit of a 'kick' with taste of garlic, coconut milk, chillies & coriander was lovely. Melt-in-the-mouth Cajun-rub steak, came with sweet potato or salt & pepper chips & battered onion ring. Seriously flavoursome
We didn't have dessert, albeit I was tempted of the 'donut ice cream sandwich'.
Only a single waiter who was attentive & though rushed off his feet with x2 large dinner parties, provided an excellent service
Visited yesterday evening with friends, it was nice to visit a restaurant that was still busy but comfortable and not so loud you couldn't carry a conversation across the table. Pleasantly surprised to find that their cocktails were 2 for 1 that evening and made it our mission to attempt to try them all, each one was presented beautifully! Mains were very well made could not fault at all, and when asking the staff about dishes or recommendations they were happy to oblige. We shared pleasant casual conversation with our server also which made the whole experience so nice we could have stayed all evening! Deserts were also lovely but abit too much to handle after the main, however the staff kindly offered to doggy bag the leftovers. Definitely return in the future!
Love Portland st always my fave place to go for a quick bite or even date night. They are always accommodating and do great food.
