Just like mama made
We are Manchester United season holders and this is always our first stop after a match. The food is real Italian.I have been on holiday to.Rome Lake Garda Sorrento and this is the authentic italian. The staff are italian the chef is Italian and their lasagne is the best i have ever tasted. The ice cream is some of the best i have had with liquors to tip over it.Lomg after you have left the restuarant your tastebuds are alive with the taste and pleasure of such delicious food. This restaurant is the only time i allow myself meat .The only complaint and drawback is the closed football season has i cant go
The pasta was ok. I had salmone tagliatelle. To be honest, the prawn didnt taste as fresh as i would want them to be. But to my surprise, the tiramisu was amazing! I'd come back for more tiramisu 🙌🙌🙌 if you want to have lunch on the weekend, come exactly at 12pm otherwise the queue will be horrible. Though, despite the super busy lunch hour, the staff were very quick in serving the customers. 👌
We had to wait for this place as it was very popular and they don't take bookings for under 6 people, but it was definitely worth it! Relatively quick service considering how busy they were and the food was genuinely exquisite. I ordered a small tortellini and couldn't finish it the portion was so generous. It's a lovely, very authentic feeling place!
Great as always. We eat here on a regular basis and the restaurant has been here for years, proof that it's good, you have to be prepared to queue to get a table as the place is always busy, but you don't have to wait too long. It has a real rustic Italian feel about the place and the food is always great. The waiters are really funny once you get their sense of humour, if your not used to it you may think the are a tad sarcastic but their not, it's just their way and it's funny when you understand it.
The food is always beautiful an the waiters are always amazing and always make sure everything is top notch! First class service!
Been a few times over the years and it has never changed. Food is nice but bettter Italians in Liverpool.

Fantastic Reasturant, I enjoyed a beautiful meal there with my fiancé, it has rustic Italian food with a great atmosphere. 5 stars.
Full of Italian homeliness, the restaurant has all the essential ingredients like checked tablecloths, an open plan kitchen and the typical wall display of empty wine bottles. Casa has been a mainstay for around 40 years and was one of the original celebrity restaurants- back in the day, rumour has it that Cliff Richard was turned away as he wasn't dressed smartly enough!
Great option for a quick lunch or dinner date! The food was delicious, and the server was recommending dishes to try. Food was quick on the table. Dough balls with garlic butter are to die for!!! And the pasta was cooked to perfection!
I would recommend booking a table in advance and maybe specify where you want to sit as we didn't book, the restaurant was quite busy even at 3 pm and the only table they had was right next to stairs to toilets so we had constantly people walking around us and bumping into our chairs.
Other than that I would recommend this restaurant!!
Amazing experience in this place. Really good food! Food taste like home ✨
All people working here have a really good vibe and treat you so well.
I would def come back on my next visit to the city!
We stayed in the city for two nights visiting the home of the greatest football team, Anfield of course & Liverpool FC. We sat in a pub in the city early one evening and I said that I fancied an authentic lasagne. Not expecting to find an authentic Italian restaurant (we didn’t manage that when we visited Sardinia a few years back) we set about interrogating Google maps and Google reviews when my wife suggested Casa Italia.
It was still early in the evening, before six, when we headed towards the restaurant. When we arrived you can imagine our surprise when we found a queue of about fifteen people, all who spoke very highly of Casa Italia.
We waited about twenty minutes before heading inside. It was busy, bustling with a really good atmosphere with wall-to-wall full tables of diners.
The service was great. The staff were super friendly. They had exactly what we were after, we toyed with grande cannelloni and lasagnes, but we’re advised that they were ‘massive’ so we very wisely opted for the piccolo portions, which was absolutely the right choice as we decided to accompany our main courses with the homemade garlic bread - plenty for both of us, in fact we ended up having what we couldn’t eat boxed up and taking our meals away with us.
Casa Italia was a great find and well worth the wait. The food was really good. The staff were so friendly, as everyone is in Liverpool as we have found. We’ll certainly eat here again and are so happy with our choice. The atmosphere was really good too.
We enjoyed half a carafe of the house rose. We enjoyed that too.
Sadly my photos don’t do the restaurant justice. You can expect a queue, pretty much every night of the week but it’s worth it, and the queue moves surprisingly quickly plus it won't cost you the earth to eat here either.
Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 45 million views and still going strong 💪. Although I'm not enamoured with Google and their service at the moment 🤷🏻♂️. They're inconsistent.
Check out my other reviews 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.
Queued up outside but our party of 5 managed to get seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 4 meat pizza, chicken and ham pizza, tortellini and spaghetti Bolognese. All were cooked perfectly. Portion sizes were generous. The waiter Davide was attentive and very funny. Will definitely come again.
Casa Italia is a Liverpool institution and the mention of it makes my parents reminisce about going there in their youth.
If you go at pretty much any time of the day, rain or shine, there will be a queue. This is down to both its popularity and not being able to book for less than six.
When you get inside you'll be greeted by a smiling member of staff and the smell of delicious food. I've been a number of times and had both pizza and pasta dishes and both are superb.
This time I had the baked chicken pasta and shared a garlic bread. Both packed with flavour and cooked to perfection.
Service is great and always with a smile. Only slight complaint would be limited draught beer options but with food this good, you'll get over it.
Booking is recommended or you will have to wait in a queue! Mostly a busy place! The food is very delicious and the portions are more than enough, worth the money!
We went for Saturday lunch at around 3pm , there was pretty long que outside. They have reservations for groups more than 6. But fortunately que was fast moving. We had dough balls and bruschetta for starters, Veg Pizza, Pesto penne pasta and oven baked bolognese pasta. My personal favourite was pesto pasta has good flavours. Dessert we had Tiramisu -maybe little too sweet for me. Overall good quality food and nice cosy ambience. Will definitely recommend this place to try Italian food if around Liverpool.
I've been eating here for 37 years, and it's still as its always been amazing. The food is excellent. I Highly recommend the Pollo al forno. The garlic bread is also top draw. Quality Italian food at a reasonable price,
Very friendly staff, food was excellent and when they say its a big portion.. They mean it.. We had left over food put inyo boxes to take home. Will definitely be going back
We lined up for 1hr in the cold... and it was worth it. The best baked pasta I've ever eaten. Pizza was delicious. Entrees very big. Couldn't finish all our food but they kindly let us take home. Lovely staff and very warm atmosphere inside the restaurant.
