From the outside this looks like a cheap, gaudy takeaway, but inside it's actually quite a pleasant restaurant with a beatles theme. The restaurant advertises itself as Indo Asian fusion, but apart from one small part of the menu, it's a pretty standard Indian restaurant menu. The standard of the food is, however, far better than average. Good flavours that are subtle rather than overpowering and reasonable portion sizes and price. Service was also excellent despite the restaurant being temporarily short staffed on the evening we visited. We'll worth a visit and do try the paneer, it's excellent.
This place served fantastic food and at a reasonable price. These dishes cost us just £20.40. However, I felt really sorry for the member of staff serving us, he was running the entire place by himself, taking orders, serving food, pouring drinks, taking payment and seating people - and a table of 15 came in as we were there. Whoever runs this place needs to have more staff - no one is paid enough to run around like that.
Delicious!! I ordered: Tadka Dal (spicy lentils), Bombay Potatoes (potatoes cooked with spices in onion and tomato sauce), and Vegetable Karma (vegetables in a creamy sauce, i think it’s coconut cream. It’s my favourite) and Punjabi Vegetable Samosa (there were 2 of them). Large portions, everything was very tasty, just a bit too peppery for me because I’m not used to but still enjoyable. I attached a pic but I had already started to eat… Thank you very very much!!
