The food quality at Kokum is exceptional. The food has an authentic Indian taste. The service was excellent. Had a chance to meet the owner who was ery welcoming and a very good host. Would highly recommend as one of the best restaurants in town.
After a long gap had an opportunity to visit Kokum again, this time with family. Owner recommended chicken lollipop for my 5-year-old and mango lassi which she thoroughly enjoyed. The chicken lollipop was unlike we get in india, had different marinade and less spicy, perfect for my child. Another starter recommended by some previous customers was chilly paneer which also was very tasty.
We also ordered Butter chicken for my wifes taste which she couldn't stop raving about. As for myself I wanted to try Rajasthani Lal maas which was a spicy blend of boneless lamb cooked in gravy. Certainly for someone's hot palate, worth recommended.
Overall had a good experience in a very cosy restaurant.
We visited for an early sitting and the restaurant was quite quiet. However, from about 6:30 a steady trickle of customers arrived. The food was delicious... Some of the best Indian food we've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive in all the good ways (the manger noticed our little girl struggling a bit with some of the spice and immediately provided some cooking yogurt).
The meat dishes were fantastic. Excellent quality ingredients and authentic, original flavours. Will make this a regular visit.
