Oldie worldly pub, half way up steep hill (or half way down) set in two levels, selling an extensive range of excellent Samuel smiths Ales, lagers and ciders, offering a menu choice of starters, mains and deserts, also bar snacks,in a cosy, comfortable atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. A no swearing policy operates and accepts cash only no cards, recommended.

What an amazing little find, spent an evening chatting to the locals, learning the history and enjoying the amazing Ales and Spirits on offer. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, definitely worth a visit. We'll be back.
Great little pub. Prices seem reasonable. Don't get your phone out though as you will soon be told to 'kin put that away. Or rather you won't because they have a no swearing policy.
Seriously though it's a lovely place. The staff are polite. To food was nice. I will go again next time I am in Lincoln. Just a breath of fresh air from everyone staring at their phones.
Did make me laugh though because currently there is the government track and trace policy which needs a mobile phone.
