Food was lush, well made and presented, good service, not much atmosphere though as there wasn't many people in the pub, and the best seats were booked near the fire so we ended up in the breakfast area for the inn. Tablecloth was a bit dirty. But otherwise very good experience, I had sausage mash and peas and it was very nice,my sister had the chicken curry which was also very tasty.
Stunning views from this amazing pub. The ales are kept well and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The food looked and smelled great and after looking at the menu it was reasonably priced. We had a pint of Guinness and a pint of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord
A pub I’d happily be snowed in but it was July! The feeling of being welcomed really hit us as we entered not just because of the ambiance but also the personal touch of the staff. As we’d driven for two and more hours this stop off was much appreciated and to be truthful we weren’t expecting anything exceptional. But how wrong your perception can be! Excellent food although we all chose fish & chips it was done well the haddock was delightful. Would come back but as on the way to a wedding in Bainbridge can’t see a reason other than a good day out to revisit.
