Arrived on foot having walked from Southend on a gorgeous sunny Sunday in to Leigh-on-Sea and this was the first of a few seafront restaurants I came across. An old pub with bags of history, character and oodles of charm. Couldn’t resist. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, a gorgeous view from the terrace overlooking the Thames Estuary, wonderful atmosphere and beautifully presented food which didn’t take too long to arrive. What more could you want. I had the fish cakes, triple cooked chips and salad which was beautiful and such a reasonable price too. The service, from start to finish was excellent.
Don’t usually eat this amount of food whilst out walking the England Coast Path but I just had to stop and enjoy this fabulous spot and everything it had to offer. Highly recommend and would definitely return.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ye Olde Stack Inn in Leigh-on-Sea, and I couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience.
What truly sets this establishment apart is their exceptional staff. In particular, I must give a special shout-out to Chris, whose attention to detail and extensive local knowledge enriched my visit beyond measure.
The atmosphere at Ye Olde Stack Inn is cozy and inviting. The menu offers a delectable range of dishes, and the food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was prepared with care and packed with flavour, leaving my taste buds delighted.
Thanks to Chris and the entire team for making my visit one to remember. This hidden gem in Leigh-on-Sea deserves every one of its five stars!
