We visited Sunnyside Garden Centre for the first time today and I can honestly say that this is one of the best garden centres I have visited in ages.We went into the restaurant and had the Jacket potatoes which were gorgeous and then we had the Black Forest Cake which was so yummy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the tables were so clean every time a customer went the staff cleaned the tables immediately. We then went into the Garden centre which was fabulous and I spent more than I should on some beautiful plants. The staff again were friendly and helpful and I would highly recommend visiting this garden centre.
As far as garden centres go, it's not the biggest, but they do have a lot of nice things. They have just opened a restaurant that is separate from the garden centre and is open later.
There is a cafe on site, which is really popular and busy. The food is nice and the prices are competitive.
So one thing that I personally don't like and it's not just at Sunnyside is the hand dryers in the toilets. It's one thing to help save the planet by not providing hand towels, but if you are only providing hand dryers, please instruct your cleaners how to clean them properly, as they are filthy. If you wash your hands and then accidentally touch the inside, you need to re-wash your hands. If it wasn't for this, I would of given 5 stars
Really lovely local place. My daughter has severe nut and sesame allergys but we never have a problem eating in the cafe. The food is lovely and the staff are always very friendly. We love the early opening on a sunday for breakfast its a great price and very enjoyable. The kids then have fun on the little outdoor area and after we have a look around the garden centre for new bits for our garden. Would always recommend this place.
