A lovely little sandwich and coffee shop. Lots of unique baguettes and a great choice of tea and coffee. Friendly staff. A little gem of a place. Recommended.
Went today for lunch and it was fantastic! Went because of how close it is to uni and was met with delicious food and great service.
Me and my partner sat in to read and eat. We got a baguette to share which was toasted, it was delicious. We also had cookies and a penunt butter brownie, I'd highly recommend the brownie, it was incredible.
I sat with a vanilla tea pot, which was very nice, its a fair price at £1.80 which lasted several cups.
Can't wait to come by again.
I recently revisited Pickards Cafe, nestled in front of Leeds University's iconic Parkinson Building, and I must say, it was an absolute delight!
Being a dedicated coffee aficionado, I couldn't resist the temptation to give their brew another shot, and I'm thrilled that I did. The price is right on the money - £2.40 for a regular cup and £2.80 for a large one.
But what truly sets this place apart is the warm welcome from the cafe manager, Jesus. His positive and inviting attitude immediately made me feel at home. The service here is not just fast; it's exceptionally professional. I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive array of sandwiches and bagels that could be toasted to perfection upon request.
Now, onto the main event - the coffee. It's more than decent; it's a fantastic value for the price.
Sure, the shop could use a bit of a facelift in terms of its interior, but when you're in need of a quick grab-and-go service, it's more than acceptable.
In summary, I can't recommend Pickards Cafe enough. I'll definitely be making it a regular stop on my coffee adventures. It's a hidden gem in the heart of Leeds University, thanks to the outstanding coffee, friendly service, and wallet-friendly prices. Five stars without a doubt!
