Nice restaurant and staff, food was very nice and there was a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The tapas, at between £5 and £6.50, are a bit overpriced. This is not because they weren't nice; the food is of a decent quality. It is the portion of the food which let's the place down, I think a more fair price would be ~£4 - £5.50. However, we used a groupon voucher and so had 12 tapas between 2 of us with a drink each for <£30, and so I would highly recommend using groupon as this was a fantastic deal.
Beautiful location and lovely cosy atmosphere. Most off the food was really teasty, just a few of the dishes we ordered were a bit salty for our liking. And the mussels were tiny but apart from tje food was really enjoyable. The girl serving us was extremely helpful, not often do you meet waiters like her these days. And the place isn't overly expensive either. I would bot hesitate to recommend Azucar for an evening meal or just a few drinks.
After several visits at differing times (it can get quite lively late on, which made for an enjoyable late bite), I must say this is by far my favourite tapas restaurant in Leeds and beyond.
The food is of a fantastic quality, with an authentic hispanic taste. There is a lovely selection of wines, not forgetting their rather unique selection of sangrias nor their fine selection of cocktails!
The staff were rather attentive during every visit. I have absolutely no complaints!
Best,
One very satisfied customer.
(P.S, look out for their groupon/tastecard deals - they make for a fantastic mid-week bargain!)
