A little gem opposite the Castle. Great Early Bird Menu. Delicious sautéed chicken. Mushroom sauce was really tasty. Friendly and welcoming team.
We visited for afternoon tea with prosecco, at £20 per person it felt like they'd probably underpriced themselves. We actually didn't expect so much for the price, a two tier afternoon tea, unlimited hot drinks and a small prosecco. There was so much here, however, there was definitely a lack of consistency between the afternoon teas as we all had things of varying size and some of the cakes were burnt. In a sweet to savoury ratio, there needed to be a little more savoury.
Went for a meal on Valentine’s Day and Sally managed to get me a table even though I haven’t booked in advance which i really appreciated. There was an amazing musician playing romantic songs and that made the whole dinner more romantic and created a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the prices were fair and food was great. We will definitely come back :)
